Formed at Guildhall School in 2021, Quartet Concrète are known for their natural chemistry, blended sound, and vivid atmospheres. Winners of the 2023 St James’ Chamber Music Competition, they have performed across Europe at venues including the Barbican, St James’ Piccadilly, Holker Hall, and Cité Musicale Metz. They were mentored through Chamber Studio’s Hans Keller Forum by John Myerscough, Alasdair Beatson, and Richard Ireland, and held a 2024 residency at the Lake District Music Festival. Passionate educators and champions of new music, they have worked with the Brodsky Quartet, Heath Quartet, and Quatuor Diotima, while maintaining an active international concert schedule.

‘The Diotima Quartet Academy, founded by the Diotima Quartet, is a leading institution dedicated to training young musicians specializing in chamber music, with a particular focus on innovative and demanding interpretations of both classical and contemporary repertoire. Located in France, the Academy provides an environment conducive to learning and creativity, combining artistic rigor with intellectual openness.’
A rewarding few days in Metz with Quatuor Diotima, working on music by Arnau Gran i Romero and Donnacha Dennehy, alongside other young quartets. We’re pleased to have been invited back to perform in Strasbourg in April 2026 by Quatuor Diotima, to be presented in a young artist platform performing Schubert’s ‘Death and the Maiden’ and a revised edition of ‘À vif’.
